For a holiday with an ever-changing scene, take a boating break and hire a cruiser with all you need for a few days on the water.
Spend the day at award winning beaches with a choice of activities to enjoy on the water from surfing to kitesurfing to SUP. Take to the quieter waters at Cromer and Mundesley or head round to Hunstanton where you can enjoy a good breeze.
Wander around pretty market towns with independent shopping and visit charming, tranquil villages. Head to a deli to pick up a picnic or stop off at the many eateries to enjoy locally sourced food like muscles and fish and chips. There are plenty of nature reserves offering the opportunity to explore natural habitats. North Norfolk offers some of the best bird watching opportunities in the UK, particularly in winter with the migration of pink-footed geese.

From the striped cliffs at Hunstanton, to West Runton on the fossil rich Deep History Coast, to Happisburgh, where the earliest signs of human habitation within Europe were discovered, the coast is varied and fascinating. Amble around historical market town of Aylsham on the River Bure for artisan food shops or head to Holt with its Georgian architecture, antique shops, galleries and cafes.
Surrounding the market towns is north Norfolk's breath taking countryside. Stunning all year round, it is perfect for horse riding, bird watching, walking, cycling and is home to unique wildlife and nature. You will find the largest seal colony in England at Blakeney Point.
Railways have played a large part in north Norfolk’s history and you can take a journey back in time on the heritage railway lines that take you on a gentle trip through the countryside.
Norfolk has the greatest concentration of churches in the world and the north Norfolk landscape is dotted with medieval church spires. Built in the 11th century, East Anglia has the highest number of round tower churches. Many churches are open to look around and offer a glimpse of historical life.
Also perfect for exploring are the stately homes, museums, an abbey, castles, priories and other historical buildings, all with a fascinating history and story to find out.
