You are here: See & Do > Dog Friendly North Norfolk
North Norfolk is a canine paradise as it's known for being one of the most dog-friendly locations in the UK.
The vast sandy beaches are a delight for dogs, and their responsible owners, all year round (seasonal restrictions apply to some beaches).
There are also fantastic walking trails, forests and parks suitable for two and four legs, taking in amazing views so walking the dog is a real delight.
Dogs are made to feel welcome and treated as the special guests they are at many hotels, B&Bs, pubs and inns, holiday parks and self-catering accommodation. You'll find secure gardens to keep dogs safe, warm pet showers to wash off sandy and muddy paws, toys to keep dogs entertained, treats (well, they are on holiday too!) and a comfy pet bed when it's time to sleep off those long walks. There are accommodation providers that specifically focus on providing cottages for dogs and their owners, and there are even places to stay that cater for reactive dogs too.
When it's time to eat out, there is no shortage of restaurants, pubs, cafes and bistros that welcome dogs. While the humans tuck into delish locally produced dishes, you'll find there's doggy menus featuring sausages, puppuccinos, treats, doggy ice-creams, vegetable 'pupsicles' and even a Bark Up Bar!
And you don't need to leave the dog behind on your day out! Canine companions are welcome at many attractions and can be involved in the activities north Norfolk has to offer. You can take your dog on a boat trip, steam railway ride and even paddle boarding!
