Visit North Norfolk (VNN) is the offically commissioned Destination Management Organisation (DMO) and visitor guide for north Norfolk.
Visit North Norfolk, a membership organisation, operates on a not-for-profit basis and delivers the official tourism website and marketing activity on behalf of North Norfolk District Council. Visit North Norfolk, is the accredited authoritative DMO for north Norfolk and is affiliated with Visit Britain.
DMOs are organisations charged with representing a specific destination and helping the long-term development of the local visitor economy through targeted and strategic campaigns. Visit North Norfolk delivers two key aspects with the objective to grow the local visitor economy, which is worth £529m and supports nearly 12,000 jobs: support businesses by providing a major channel for communication and access to market for the tourism industry, and through the promotion of the area as an all-year round destination.
Visit North Norfolk develops marketing campaigns to promote the destination at a national level, representing all business sectors in the local visitor economy. It also works as part of a coalition with other DMOs in east Anglia under the umbrella of Visit East of England, creating complementary regional marketing promotions for Norfolk and Suffolk to grow the county’s visitor economy which supports 69,266 jobs, 19.5% of all employment in Norfolk (2019 Economic Impact of Tourism report). The visitor economy is the largest industry sector in the county, worth £3.423 billion in 2019.
Marketing activity is supported by North Norfolk District Council and private business sponsorship and its core business is self-sustaining through business membership funding. Visit North Norfolk is a business-led DMO, operated by a group of local business leaders (in partnership with North Norfolk District Council). This meets the Government's stated direction of encouraging businesses to become more directly responsible for tourism promotion. The Director and Chair of Visit North Norfolk is Andrew Hird, General Manager of Woodland Holiday Park.
