North Norfolk is a destination for the whole family, as there is so much to do to suit all interests and ages. There are steam railways, farms, surfing and paddle boarding hire shops and schools, museums, amazing attractions, adventure parks, ropes courses, cycle and electric bike hire, go-karting, crazy golf and much more!
The 45 mile coastline means there are plenty of beaches to enjoy days out, where you can go rockpool rummaging and fossil hunting along the Deep History Coast, or simply spend the day splashing in the waves and building sandcastles while stopping off for fish and chips and an ice cream. To make your day extra comfortable, you can hire a beach hut for a week at Cromer, Sheringham and Mundesley. Find out more and book here. At the end of the day, sit back and enjoy amazing sunsets.
For rainy days, there is a range of indoor activities to keep boredom at bay, including swimming pools, a sealife centre, museums, theatres and exhibitions. Or spend the day at one of the many stately homes and find out about north Norfolk's history. Many of the attractions have indoor play areas so you can have plenty of fun, whatever the weather.
For water adventures, the coast is ideal for enjoying water sports such as surfing, kite boarding and SUP; many places offer lessons and you can hire all the equipment you need.
The Broads National Park and canals are excellent for canoeing and kayaking or hire a day boat and meander along the lock-free waterways. You can also take a boat trip out to Blakeney to see the largest seal colony in England.
Inland, the lots of parks and woodlands, great for exploring. Follow one of the many walking trails or hire a bike and explore the area by pedal. For extra power, you can also hire electric bikes to help you go the extra distance.
There are events all year round for all interests including National Trust halls and grounds, indoor and outdoor theme parks and attractions, museums, railways, natural parks and theatres.
