About
Alby Crafts and gardens, was the brain child of Valerie Alston and is still run by the family. There are 10 workshops and teaching spaces, a gift shop, a lovely tearoom and a vibrant community of quality crafts people working with a wide range of mediums and skills. These include pottery, sculpture, wood turning, furniture making, tailoring, fabrics, mosaics, willow sculpture and flower essences with other artists and work being shown at various times.
The grounds are a delight in themselves and the 4 acres of gardens are a pleasure throughout the year. The gardens were inspired by "The Flower Fairies" by Cicely Mary Barker and if you are very, very lucky you may spot the odd one wandering through the woods or riding on the back of one of the resident peacocks. It's a delightful, peaceful, place to spend an hour or two amongst the fairies and the peacocks.
The Artisan Café is a great place to meet up with friends for a coffee and a scone, or if it's tea you like we have a great selection of teas available. Along with a great selection of cakes and baked goods. Light lunches and afternoon teas available.

Entrance to and parking at Alby's café, shops and galleries is free. There is a small entrance charge for the gardens - £2.50 per person, with all proceeds going towards the upkeep of the gardens.
