About
St Nicholas church dates to the middle of the 13th century. Part of the west end and tower survives and the rest was rebuilt in the late 15th century, carried out under the patronage of Sir Henry Heydon of Baconsthorpe Castle. The church stands on a hill, offering splendid views along the coast and out to sea.
The interior features a carved 15th-century lion font. There is also a series of graffiti scratched into the screen and the choir stalls dating back to the 16th century.
