At The Chequers, the village pub is all about celebrating locals and showing visitors from far and wide a great time, all while showing off the things it loves about Norfolk. The menu is about the kind of food that brings people together; down-to-earth, simple and tasty. The pie is the hero of the menu because what's a pub without a proper pie? Expect all your well-loved fillings like beef, chicken, and veg, but with a twist. Always expect the unexpected. Breakfast is a laid-back affair followed by casual brunch plates and hearty pub favourites.

There are 11 bedrooms, some above the pub and some in the cottage next door and each room has everything you need for a good night's sleep. So, all you need to do is make yourself at home. Then when you’re ready, pop down for a pint, pie or game of pool.

The pub loves dogs; it's all about the snacks, wagging tails and cuddles. The pub is dog-friendly throughout including most of the bedrooms. The pub dog Rudy rules the roost. He loves nothing more than making new friends and recommending the best local spots for running, splashing, and snuffling.

The prize can be redeemed up to 31 July 2025. This prize cannot be redeemed during bank holidays, and is subject to availability. The exact dates will be confirmed between the winner and The Chestnut Group. Travel to and from the property is the responsibility of the entrant. Prize has no monetary value and it is non-transferable. The prize draw closes at 23:59 on 30 April 2025 and the winner will be notified on or after 1 May 2025 by email to the address provided. If there is no response from the winner after three working days, the prize will be withdrawn and then reallocated to another winner drawn at random.
