EXPERIENCE THRILLS
North Norfolk is home to a huge range of award-winning family-friendly outdoor and indoor attractions, to be enjoyed whatever time of year you visit, come rain or shine. There really is something for everyone. Take a journey back in time aboard a steam railway, roam through a land of dinosaurs, jump onto a giant airbag and swing through trees. If water sports float your boat, there’s plenty of places to go surfing, kite boarding, SUP and enjoy a leisurely swim.

DISCOVER NORTH NORFOLK'S HISTORY
North Norfolk is steeped in history and heritage. With a past of prosperous landowners and rich proceeds from trade with the continent in goods like wool, many fine buildings, stately homes and churches were built in this era, and can still be explored today.

Head to Holkham Hall in a 25,000 acre estate, rich in history, architecture and wildlife with its elegant 18th century Palladian style house at the heart.
Another impressive stately home is Houghton Hall, one of the country’s finest examples of Palladian architecture. The award-winning gardens are home to an impressive collection of contemporary sculpture by world renowned artists, many created especially for Houghton. For 2021 (running until 26 September 2021), visitors can enjoy an exhibition by celebrated British sculptor Tony Cragg.

Hop aboard the North Norfolk Railway which runs between Sheringham and Holt taking in the county’s most stunning coastal scenery along the way. Steam trains operate daily from April to October.

Immerse yourself at The Muckleburgh Collection, a military museum sited on the former military camp at Weybourne. It is the largest privately owned military museum in the UK.

EXPLORE THE DEEP HISTORY COAST
Explorers can delve into the Deep History Coast by walking the Discovery Trail which follows the coastline from Weybourne to Cart Gap. Walk it all or pick a section and find out what the area was like thousands of years ago via eleven Discovery Points along the way. Download the Deep History Coast App, triggered at each Discovery Point and follow the guided walks and see the past come back to life. You can even meet a Hominin family and find out about the animals they shared their life with. The Visitor Centre in Cromer has interactive displays revealing more about the area’s past.

HAVE A TASTE OF NORTH NORFOLK
Seasonal food and drink is a highlight of any stay in north Norfolk. With its long coastline and rich agricultural heritage, the area is awash with local food producers, independent delis, fantastic gastro pubs with their own micro-breweries and restaurants serving menus created from locally sourced ingredients.
