About Barhsam Brewery:

Steeped in farming history, on the Estate we grow some of the best malting barley in the world. Our top-quality agricultural soil, coupled with the Norfolk sea air and unique micro-climate creates the ideal environment to grow our famous Maris Otter barley, which we use as the base malt for of our award-winning Norfolk beers.

We spend the year nurturing and growing a wide-range crops on the farm, from sugar beet to oil seed rape, wheat, vining peas and barley. When summer arrives and the grains reach their peak ripeness, our small team embark upon the annual tradition of harvesting. Using a combination of traditional and modern techniques, the harvest is completed in time for Autumn.

Our barley is malted down the road at Crisp Malting, then returned to the Estate where we begin the process of brewing in our state-of-the-art brewery.  The malt is blended with beautifully pure water from our own bore hole and hop varieties from around the world to brew our collection of craft beers. From field to glass, we celebrate the art of sustainable agriculture, emphasising a true farm-to-table ethos that encapsulates the essence of Norfolk's agricultural heritage. We are ‘Norfolk born and brewed’ in the very truest sense.
