Shepherd Huts at The Victoria, north Norfolk

About

New in 2025, these hand-crafted, spacious shepherd huts overlook the meadow in Holkham Village. Nestled between the golden sands of the north Norfolk coast and the stunning Holkham Park, the hut sleeps up to two people and two dogs. A great base for exploring the local area, you are just one and a half miles from the quaint seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea with its many delightful cafes and restaurants, independent shops and bustling quayside. Several North Norfolk villages, market towns and attractions are just a short journey away. These, together with the fine city of Norwich, all offer the perfect day out.

Each hut is beautifully crafted by Lincolnshire Shepherd Huts, with interiors designed by local designer, Johanna Tennant, who also designed The Victoria and Ancient House during their refurbishments. Full of charm, the huts will be lovingly cared for by our team, offering the perfect place to while away a few days with your loved one, your dogs, or a sanctuary for a solo getaway.

Located overlooking the meadow within Holkham Village, the shepherd huts are within walking distance of stunning Holkham Beach, Holkham Hall and deer park, and the Holkham National Nature Reserve on which the huts are themed.

As well as these captivating landscapes, you’ll also be just over 1.5 miles from the well-loved seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea. Visit and you can enjoy its many independent shops, cafés and restaurants, bustling quayside and beach. Several North Norfolk villages, market towns and attractions (such as Houghton Hall, Sandringham, and the National Trust’s Blicking and Felbrigg) are just a short journey away. These, together with the fine city of Norwich, all offer the perfect day out.

The shepherd huts will be available to book for two, three, four or seven nights — perfect for your next short break or holiday in Norfolk.

Please note: Bookings can be made starting on Mondays (for 3, 4 or 7 nights), Tuesdays (for 3 nights), Fridays (for 2, 3 or 7 nights) or Saturdays (for 2 nights).
