Lambing Events
Easter Adventure at Wroxham Barns (5 to 21 April 2025). There is a fun filled Easter planned at Wroxham Barns with its Easter Adventure. You may be lucky to see lambs being born as well as enjoy lots of other animal adventures on the Junior Farm. There is also an exciting Easter trail and fun themed crafts. Great Easter Days Out at Attractions
Meet the Easter Bunny at BeWILDerwood (5 to 27 April 2025)! Enjoy a magical day filled with egg-citing activities and curious characters. Meet Cedric the Easter Bunny and find out what those Pesky Bunnies have been up to at the Storytelling Stage! Follow the Giant Easter Egg Trail and receive a special BeWILDerwood badge at the end. Holkham Park Easter Trail at Holkham Hall (5 to 17 April 2025). Grab your bunny ears and get out amongst nature this Easter holiday! Can you crack the code by finding all the Easter egg trail boards hidden around Holkham Park? On arrival head to Visitor Reception to pick up your free Easter trail sheet and set off on a parkland adventure! You’ll find a question on each board so pop your thinking caps on to see if you can figure out the answers, these will help you to crack the code. Suitable for all ages but best done with the whole family. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear as the trail is outside. Free event but parking charges apply when parking in Holkham Park. Pensthorpe Natural Park (5 to 22 April 2025). You can enjoy a cracking eggstravaganza at Pensthorpe this Easter. The Easter Holiday trail is full of giant, 4ft 3d eggs placed around the reserve. Explore and learn more about our feathered friends and guests on the fully immersive, multi sensory trail. Once completed, head to the shop to collect your ‘Grow your own Beans’ and a badge. New for 2025 is the lamb viewing area where you can see cute lambs with their mums. There is also an authentic shepherd’s hut so you can see how shepherds lived in the past. Find out more here.

Easter Egg Hunt at National Trust Blickling Estate (5 to 22 April 2025). Head into the daffodil-filled gardens at Blickling Estate on a family Easter adventure that celebrates spring and gets the whole family active and creative. Take turns at fun games and challenges along the way, including a photo-op with props, a rabbit racetrack and a chance to create your own egg-cellent characters! The Easter trail takes place daily 10am to 5pm from 5 to 22 April, with last trails starting one hour before closing. Prices are £3.50 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and dairy or vegan and Free From* chocolate egg (whilst stocks last). Easter Egg Hunt at National Trust Felbrigg Hall (5 to 22 April 2025). Hop, skip and frolic your way around Felbrigg's family Easter adventure trail. Bring the whole family together this Easter and treat your loved ones to a spring adventure with the National Trust. Every single National Trust Easter trail is different and celebrates nature, history and beauty. At Felbrigg, explore the estate and woodland on a trail with 10 nature-themed activity stations, including seed planting, welly wanging and an interactive water wall. Felbrigg Estate, where the Easter trail takes place, is free to visit from dawn-dusk. Easter Egg Hunt at National Trust Sheringham Park Easter Egg Hunt (5 to 22 April 2025). Have a springtime adventure on Sheringham Park's Easter trail. Hop, skip and frolic your way around Sheringham Park on a trail through the wild garden and woodland. Enjoy 10 nature-themed activity stations including giant quoites, nature mobile making and bird watching. Admission is free to visit from dawn-dusk. Car parking is free for National Trust members and £6.50 for non-members. £3.50 per Easter trail pack (includes an trail sheet, bunny ears and a chocolate egg, or a vegan ‘Free-From’ chocolate egg). Easter Egg Hunt at Morston Quay. Head up to the north Norfolk coast for an Easter nature activity trail at Morston Quay (5 to 22 April 2025, 10am-4pm, daily). Put your skills to the test with a welly-themed hoopla challenge or see how many creative spots you can place a rabbit’s tail in "Pin the Tail on the Rabbit." Fancy a puzzle? Help the eggs find their way back to the right basket! And that’s just the start, there are 10 exciting activities to enjoy across the site. No need to book, just come along and join the fun! Family Easter Trail at The Museum of the Broads. Enjoy a fun, duckling inspired trail around the Museum with Easter themed prizes for all children (4 to 22 April 2025). Take a boat trip (extra cost) and spot local wild ducks too! Find out more.
Easter Treasure Quest and Egg Hunt at Hoveton Hall Gardens (18 to 21 April 2025). Enjoy an Easter Treasure Quest around the gardens. Follow the clues and answer the puzzle at the end to receive an Easter prize. There will also be a mini Easter Egg Hunt in the walled gardens for the under 5s. All free with normal garden entrance fees. There is no need to book, just turn up. Find out more.
Aldiss Easter Monday Raceday at Fakenham Racecourse (21 April 2025). Take the whole family to the wonderful Easter Monday Raceday and help celebrate the 120th Anniversary of racing being held at Fakenham. This promises to be a very special day. Tickets from £17.50 per person, children under 18 are FREE when accompanied by an adult. Well behaved dogs on short leads are welcome too. Find out more here.
Discover an amazing underwater world at SEA LIFE Hunstanton. Learn how to waddle with our mischievous and adorable Humboldt penguins at the Pengun Beach. Watch out for, Inca Terns, 'the birds with moustaches' as they fly and dive above your head! Hop Aboard a Steam Train
Take a journey on a heritage steam train through the north Norfolk countryside. Wells & Walsingham Light Railway is the world's smallest public railways. There are four trains daily. Find out more.
At North Norfolk Railway, you can Steam into Spring (18 to 21 April 2025). Ride behind three historic steam locomotives including 100 year-old locomotive No 53809 and an 87 year-old locomotive “Wissington” with unique Victorian carriages. There is also an unseen locomotive “Newstead”, scheduled to haul passenger trains for the first time. Experience travel from a century ago aboard the unique “Quad-Art” train of teak-bodied carriages. Younger visitors can join in with the special Easter trail. On Bure Valley Railway, take a ride on the Easter Eggspress (5 to 21 April 2025) for an exciting day out for all the family. There is a free Easter egg for every child on completion of the Easter Trail. Stop off at the decorated shop and Whistlestop Café for the Easter themed event. Adult tickets £24 and children £12. Easter Events
Sheringham Viking Festival. One of the highlights of Easter will be the Sheringham Viking Festival on 5 April 2025. The fun starts on Beeston Common from 10am with the Viking Village as the base for creative and educational activities as well as battle reenactments; these will finish late afternoon around 4pm. The evening activities start at 7pm with the Viking Parade from the top car park in Sheringham. This lively parade will proceed through Sheringham towards the sea for the finale of the boats burning beginning at 7.30 pm on the seafront below Leas (on the seafront near the building that was the Burlington Hotel).
Markets, Fairs and Festivals
The Norfolk Artisan Spring Fair, with over 100 local food, drink and craft stands, takes place at Fakenham Racecourse on 12 and 13 April 2025 between 9.30am to 4pm. Head to the beautiful setting of Creake Abbey in Fakenham and browse around the farmers' market on 5 April 2025 between 9.30am and 1pm and there is also the Spring Gift Fair on 19 April 2025 between 10am to 4pm where you can shop a range of locally made goods. Head over to Holkham for its Easter Market (on 18, 19 and 20 April 2025 from 10am to 4pm) showcasing the very best produce, gifts and crafts from over 50 local artisan producers and outside, you can expect a tasty choice of local street food vendors.
More Amazing Attractions
There is a whole range of attractions in north Norfolk open over Easter for fantastic family days out. Trot over to Redwings Horse Sanctuary in Aylsham where you can visit some of the horses, ponies, mules and donkeys that have been rescued and are being cared for. Visit Wroxham Miniature Worlds with model railways, a Lego city and interactive flight and train simulators and try your luck in the Old Penny Arcade. Immerse yourself at the largest privately owned military museum in the United Kingdom at the Muckleburgh Military Collection where you can see over 150 artillery pieces, tanks and other vehicles, most of which are in working order. Visitors can enjoy rides in a military vehicle or take a tank driving session in a FV432.
Learn some interesting facts about wildlife conservation and see the exotic creatures of Asia and South America at Amazona Zoo. Have an underwater adventure at Sealife Hunstanton. For a water adventure, head to the beautiful Norfolk Broads, Britain’s magical waterways by hiring a boat, canoe or SUP, and find out about the area's history at the Museum of the Broads. You can also visit the world’s largest collection of steam engines and organs at Thursford Steam Museum. If art is your interest, watch expert local craftsmen revive traditional skills at Langham Glass and Alby Crafts and Gardens. At Langham Glass, you can experience a fascinating live glassmaking demonstration with informative commentary from the expert glassmaking team. You can also create your very own glass masterpiece ranging from tealights to glasses and vases. Visit art galleries and browse around independent shops where you can buy the works of local artists and artisans.
Marvellous Museums
North Norfolk has many museums and historical sites, open to visitors, illustrating the area's fascinating and unique history and heritage.
At RAF Air Defence Radar Museum Neatishead, explore the country's only original Cold War Operations Room, which formed a critical link in the RAF's Command and Control system in the years following WW2. Visit Langham Dome, built in 1942 – 43 on the edge of RAF Langham, this intriguing building utilised innovative technology to train anti-aircraft gunners. This lovingly restored military museum was one of the first examples of virtual technology. Head to the Museum of the Broads where you can discover the stories of the Broads and take a boat trip.
